Volta goes monster-hunting at Loch Ness !

Published on 15/09/2025

Together with our partners Innovair, our Volta technician Élie Amour and pilot Alexandre Zirn completed the missions using both the classic and gap-nacelle protocols.

Did you know?

In Scotland, a single turbine can be struck by lightning 1–2 times a year. That’s why regular inspections of the Lightning Protection System (LPS) are critical.

With Volta, inspections mean:

  • A drone and a ground station system equipped with an ohmmeter for accurate resistance measurements
  • Safety, speed, and reliability at the core of every mission
  • Express reports (resistance values only) within 48h, or detailed reports (resistance + FPV photos of receptors) delivered within 2 weeks
  • Three inspection protocols designed to adapt to every turbine type

In just 30 to 60 minutes, Volta can complete a full LPS inspection, saving downtime, reducing costs, and preventing serious lightning-related damage.

Wherever your turbines are, SupAirVision is ready to go. Volta’s compact hardware makes international deployments easy and efficient.

 Fast. Reliable. Global.

That’s Volta.
